Since 2006, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at PSG Polytechnic College has been progressing towards excellence in the field of teaching, placement and career guidance. Curriculum helps to keep in pace with technology, industrial standards and real time industrial needs.

The mission of the department is to facilitate young diploma engineers

  • M1: To acquire technical knowledge and skills in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • M2: To be able to face and solve the challenges in the field of ECE and attain successful career in Industry/academics
  • M3: To serve for the well being of society addressing their needs

Vision

The department strives to develop skilled technical professionals who are competent to cater to the ever-changing industrial demand and societal needs.

Modernizations and Removal of Obsolescence (MODROB)

For ECE Department, AICTE has sanctioned a total sum of Rs. 16, 75, 345/- (Rupees Sixteen lakhs seventy five thousand and three hundred forty five only) to set up Smart Electronics Lab under Modernization and Removal of Obsolescence Polytechnic (MODROB-POL) Scheme.

1. Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), Coimbatore TPSG PTC signed MoU with Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) on 10.11.2016 at PSG campus for setting up a telecom skill development centre for training students. The centre offers two courses, Optical Fiber Technology and Optical Fiber Splicing. Mr. S. P. Kochhar, CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) and his team visited the laboratories.
